Ron Goldsmith is a pop and conceptual artist, born in Paris in 1982.

Artistic approach

The idea for wall boxes comes from an anecdote that occurred in a café. At that moment the artist heard a man explaining to a friend how difficult it had been for him to acquire an Amex Centurion card and that for the trouble, he would have to frame it to protect and display it. It was from this small, innocuous but revealing moment that he got the idea to take this man's speech literally and launch his “Emergency box” series.

Both humorous and provocative, advocating self-deprecation, sometimes even seeking to denounce this consumerist society, Ron Goldsmith seeks to challenge us and raise awareness through his boxes. Entirely made and painted by hand, they extol a certain know-how. The idea is not to mass produce objects, which would contradict the critical idea that the artist wants to put forward. These are true works of art that are worth purchasing at home very quickly!
