Born in 1966 in the south of France, "Kikayou" always wanted to create, to mark a world in his image, teeming with energy, teeming with ideas, but devoid of any pretension. Creator of lighting fixtures, light sensors, collages, the artist turns to his creative desires and places his creations on canvas. Inspired by the work of Basquiat, the Pop Art of Warhol, the collages of Villeglé, the fury of Dali... the artist takes us into "his" pictorial world, between street art and urban art. An enjoyable, impulsive art where at the heart of its works a chaos inexorably carries us towards a future full of promise. What does the artist want to tell us, other than that we must enjoy, live, try... He who wishes to discover a world gives us his works, a clever mix of performances, forces, life. The spectator wanders between oblivion and memory, dream and sleep, traces of life and... tries, work after work, to appropriate the artistic language of the artist.
Here he finds images, he regains his memory and feels alive. Vivant Kikayou proves this to us at every moment both at the level of physical experimentation, on the work on the unconscious, but also through the choice of materials used. Painting, work of life, between oblivion, memory and dream it never ceases to take us on the path of experiences, giving birth to all our senses. A true delight of colors and sensations that will lead you to your own questions, worries, excitements, obsessions... Kikayou does not ask all of its questions; he paints in the Basque Country surrounded by his large family and continues his creation of his fanciful universe in phase with the conception of his life, and a few ingredients...talent, imagination, feelings and relevance.
