Born in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, I started drawing at a very young age, subsequently becoming interested in charcoal, pastels, and so on. I started painting in the early eighties after traveling in Europe. Stays in France, Italy, Provence, Florence, and Venice stimulated my interest in painting. This prompted me to enroll in visual arts and art history courses at university.

I take a holistic approach to painting, making no distinction between external reality and the internal world. For me, nature is a totality, each phenomenon forming an indivisible whole. A nature lover, I divide my time between my workshop in Vaudreuil and the Laurentians, where I hike, bike and snowshoe. When I want to immerse myself in nature, I go to Val David or to the magnificent Mont-Tremblant park. It is at the edge of the Iroquois and Diable Falls, and near Tremblant, Mercier and Ouimet lakes that I nourish my artistic fiber. I have been painting for around twenty years.
