Born in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, I began drawing at a very young age, later developing an interest in charcoal, pastels, and so forth. I started painting in the early 1980s after traveling in Europe. Stays in France, Italy, Provence, Florence, and Venice sparked my passion for painting. This motivated me to enroll in fine arts and art history courses at university.
