Born in Tettnang, Germany in 1949, Gerda Marschall now lives in East Hawkesbury, Ontario.
Although she is an entrepreneur and businesswoman with a degree from McGill University, her love for painting led her to take several courses at the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts, studying under artists such as Seymour Segal, Philip Iverson, and especially Marilyn Rubenstein.
