Born in Paris in 1955, Louis Magre now lives in Provence.
He studied drawing and architecture before ultimately choosing to focus on painting. After studying the human nude and creating numerous charcoal portraits, he became deeply influenced by the Impressionist movement, following the footsteps of masters such as Sisley, Pissarro, Monet, and Seurat.
