Fernando Atencia's work brings us joy, illusion and transports us to the world of childhood memories, to the world of dreams. He is a vitalist author, who is in a personal moment of plenitude and development. Thus, he returns to his studies of Fine Arts to transform his children's characters into works that most of us love to have close to us.
Balloon Series
Inspired by popart trends and with a design process that aims to simplify in order to immobilise and subtract expression from Mickey, Pinocchio and Mario, he elevates them like balloons and in his impeccable technical process, he creates pieces with a perfect finish. His technique in solid polyresin and his painting, two layers, of chromed bath in a wide palette of colours.
His work has been exhibited in art galleries in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Tenerife and in art fairs in Europe such as JustMAD Contemporary Art Fair 2022, Lille Art Up! Foir,d'art Contemporain 2022 and 2023, Estampa Contemporary Art Fair 2022, Salon International d'art contemporain Paris 2023, Salon International d'art contemporain de Bordeaux 2023.
