Latulippe, André

Born in 1940 in Quebec City, André Latulippe lived for many years on the South Shore. He began his studies at the École des beaux-arts de Québec in 1959 and graduated from the Canadian School of Commercial Art in 1963.
Throughout his career, he created many notable works, including the cover illustration for the best-selling novel Les filles de Caleb (1983). One of his works was selected to illustrate the Heritage Canada card (1987). In 1990, he designed the cover of the book Le temps d’Alexandre by Robert Jasmin, and in 1995, he contributed to the Québec Medieval Festival (Les Médiévales de Québec).
In 2003, he was named “Charlevoix Painter of the Year,” and one of his paintings was chosen to represent the region, appearing on the cover of the tourist guide as well as on the official poster.
André Latulippe passed away in 2026, leaving behind a significant contribution to Quebec’s artistic landscape.
